Default for people that installed aftermarket amp....

where in the trunk did you place your ground wire? did you use an existing hole, or did you drill a new one and where?

Could go the standard route and ground to the seatbelt mount bolt.

I was thinking of that location but that would mean the run to the trunk will be longer and I am trying to keep it as short as possible.

Did you remove the OEM amp? I noticed some bolt on the right hand side on the truck but I'm not sure if they would ground the amp. You could always use on the the hook bolt. Those anchor points in the trunk. That might do the job.

the bolt between the factory amp and the taillight works great, as well as the 10mm bolt inside the anchor hooks. when you use the anchor hook as a ground, sand the paint off the top surface of the hole... this keeps you from depending on the shaft of the bolt as a ground.

When using the anchor hooks, do I need a washer between the plastic (anchor hook housing) and ground terminal?

Nevermind. Removed the plastic housing again and found there is already a metal piece behind it.
