IS250 - Scrolling text while playing MP3
Hello everybody, i want to display scrolling text when im playing MP3 in my car with the stock headunit, atm, it will only display a static text, sometimes missing the ending letters because the headunit lcd is not long enough to show the entire thing
does anyone know how to do this?

whoever made the stereo for this car must have been absolutely the most ignorant person to work on the design of our vehicles.
Not only do we have the text scrolling issue, but when you play your MP3 cd on "random" and then try to change tracks, it only goes to the next sequential track, not the next random track.
There is nothing you can do about this other than get yourself an aftermarket (bypassed) cd player in there. thats a lot of work for such a small advantage. i have just learned to live with it.

To display the rest of the track name, just HOLD down the "TEXT" button and it will scroll to the next partition of the song title. if your song title is like 30 characters long then you'll have to scroll twice to see the end of it.
Yeah, I agree this isn't great design. Scrolling should be AUTOMATIC if the track name is longer than the display size. I mean, my sirius radio player does this so I'm surprised Lexus didn't think of that. And that issue about using the next button while in random mode, again, quite idiotic!

i rented an '06 or 07 corolla the other day for a business trip and when i listened to the radio, it automatically scrolled the text info. I wish the IS stock deck would do this
I'm really interested in seeing the dash kit when it comes out to see if i can get rid of the deck... I know, it probably won't, but i can hope!
