There are two TSIB's pertaining to this issue:
TSIB NV003-06 Instrument Panel Rattle, issued August 29, 2006. It uses felt squares in strategic places to fix the rattle. It requires removal of the instrument panel, Lexus allows 2.2 hours for the fix. It is NOT something one would want to try on their own, imo.
TSIB NV005-06 Upper/Lower Windshield Tick Noise, issued Sept 18, 2006. It trims plastic pieces that can touch the upper or lower windshield. On the IS it requires dropping the headliner as the issue only occurs on the upper part of the windshield. Lexus allows 0.7 hours for this fix.
Have your dealer look up these TSIB's, and take it from there.
