Like everyone said, the car depreciates the moment you take it off the lot. While you paid "$42K" (for a non-nav, non-ML, non Park Assist, non PCS IS350) for it and you want $39.5K for it is up to the buyer. I'm sure a dealership can pull that off, but as a private owner, I don't think so.

But if you think that's wrong, I have some Enron stock that was worth a million dollars. How about we trade the two and we call it even?
