Talking I LOVE Lexus.

Well over the winter I noticed a bit of a noise coming from the passenger side area of the dash. I figured that it must be the dash or the vent. Anyhow, today of course was one of the first really warm days in Toronto. Don't you know it but the noise was gone! I had an appointment to get my summer wheels put on the IS350 so I had made the appointment for them to look at the noise. I didn't have much hope because I expected the technician to say, well I can't hear the noise therefore there is nothing I can do. This is always what happened to me with the Acura dealership even when the noise was there. So I get into the car with the technician driving and of course there is no noise. I mention to him that throughout the winter the noise was there. He says, well there is a TSB for the dash and vent, why don't I just do that for you and you can let us know if it doesn't fix it! I couldn't believe my ears. I couldn't believe that they were offering to do the TSB and they brought it up despite not hearing the noise. Anyhow, of course after it was done on my way home there was no noise, but there wasn't all day today. I assume that the TSB is the fix and that it won't come back. All I can say is KUDOS for my Lexus service department, they are awesome. So friendly and helpful, unlike the Acura dealership that I went to for two cars and 8 years. I am sooooo happy that I switched to Lexus. Just had to share my happiness.

Lexus service is a wonderful thing. When I bought mine, they let me take it home that day. I had to take it back 2 days later for new wheels and a tint job. I had burned a half a tank of gas and they topped it off for me. Not to mention completely detailing the car.

The techs gets paid for the hours spent on your car. Rattles are very good money because they can claim lots of hours. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The tech who worked on my car claimed 9hrs. labor. I know that he didn't spend that much time on it because I drove by the dealership and saw the car parked outside most of the day.

I bought my IS 350 and had it serviced at Scarborough Lexus. I realize that they get paid for doing this type of thing, however, so do Acura dealerships. The Acura dealer would never have done a well known TSB on a common problem if they didn't hear it. And they were never able to hear even the loudest of noises. I say kudos to Lexus. I have no regrets about switching over to Lexus. Plus I love my car.
