No cutting, just disconnect the harness from the sub and then tap into the harness. I tapped into all 4 wires since my converter is 2-channel. Brown/Green goes into one channel, Pink/Blue to the other. You don't have to worry which channel is left or right.

If I'd like to just install a sub+amp, do I need Cleansweep?(using JL Audio). How much do you think an installer would charge? Are those Powerwedge boxes worth it?

Would adding a DSP unit to the 13 speaker premium sound with aftermarket amp+sub create a noticable difference?. If yes, please explain.

Where would you get the power from, or where would you run your power wire to?

I attempted to do that today, I was going to run the power wire thru the grommet wiht all the wires running thru it, but it looks almost impossible to run it thru and get it into the passenger side. i dont have enough patients for this lol

Gotta have patience my man.

1. remove battery
2. take a metal hanger, cut it and straighten it out
3. tape one end of hanger with the power wire
4. stick the other end through the large grommet
5. have another person inside the car on passenger side guide it through and pull it out (remember to remove the scuff plate and side molding first)

I would highly recommend before putting the battery back on to upgrade the ground wire from chasis to negative. If you dont have any idea why, go to caraudio.com forum and search for "the big 3", or go to a local car audio shop and ask why. Upgrading the ground is one of the big 3 (I didn't do the other 2 because its too much of a hassle and I dont think its neccessary for our new car, although many on that forum will disagree but whatevers).
