The location of a nail puncture can be directly correlated to the expense or warranty coverage of the tire.
The more expensive the tire the greater the chance that the damage will be unrepairable.
A tire under warranty is more likely to be repairable.

FYI - TPMS warning light
TPMS warning light will supposedly turn on if a tire pressure is off by >/=5psi. However it will also warn you if two or more tire pressures are off even by 2psi. Happened to me last winter. TPMS warning was on and when I checked the tire pressures, all 4 tires were off 2psi. So I experimented and deflated one tire by 2psi - no warning. Deflated by 5psi - sure enough warning was on. Then I proceeded with the experiment and found out that if two or more tires are off even by just 2 psi your TPMS warning light will turn on. Just FYI.

Anyone know how much the TPMS sensors cost? I want to pick up a 2nd pair for my new wheels coming in.
How much do you think a dealer would charge to have mine removed from my stockers so I could use those in case its too expensive to buy new ones?

wow...shocked to see this pop back up
to update i did have a nail in my rear tire. Had my wife take it for the 5k service right after i posted this. they fixed it at the dealer but they plugged it only as i called and it was all they could do. everything is fine and i havent messed with it since.
Stock4AG, its part of the vavle stem and if you get new rims some will allow the use of the TPMS. you can take them from your current rims, purchase new ones, or some have done other creative things.
