Bill Gates isn't a high school dropout, he dropped out of Harvard.

I lol'ed in real life .

Ron, I hope you take some business classes to learn how to manage your expenses .

No offense, but unless you're related to the Vanderbilt family, spending like that is just crazy talk.

Get yourself an IS-F after you inherit whatever your dad's doing .

LOL. good one. but honestly i would go to USC (if you can afford it). their alumni system is the greatest. and after you graduate, get a high end job and then buy the car of your choice

Are your parents in the drug or rap business? Cause just by seeing the list of your cars, I can only extrapolate what else your parents spend money on. If you cut back on those "crazy expensesss", then college is definitely more affordable. You don't HAVE to spend all your money on cars and other "expensesss" (unless you're a rap star and needs to buy bling bling to maintain your rep )

BTW, UCLA won't be 6K a year. Tuition has increased to about 6.5K a year (and will increase every year from now on) plus you're looking at either 9-14K for dorms (depends if you get a triple or a double, dorm room or a suite) for nine months or $600 per month for rent plus utilities plus food. And in the apartments, you'll be sharing a room (the going rate in Westwood is about $2700 for two rooms and two parking spaces and $3800 for three rooms and three parking spaces). So UCLA will be more around 18K a year. And that's still one hell of a bargain compared to USC's 40-45K a year.

I'd say you are getting things all wrong. a car or materialistic items should not get in the way of your academic decision making.

your current car will not reflect how good or capable of what u are in the future, sure it might get u some hot chicks at both schools but they won't be able to tell the difference between and IS-F and an IS350 either so one is not gonna get u more chicks than the other.

the BS aside I think you should consider these things:
1- which school has the better program and better professors for the program
2- which school is more well known for that program (if you are going to stay in CALI for the rest of your life then going to UCLA or USC is not going to matter, if you decide you may want to leave CALI not many ppl have heard of USC overseas or maybe even outside CALI so u may take that into account)
3- which school is going to let you build up better connections (connections are more important than money)
4- a good career later on can always offset the tuition investment put in now.
5- are you an idealist/theorist type or are u a money making type?

hope these help you in your decision making.

BTW you will never be happy with your current car. there are always better cars out there

Or.....

join the military (any branch, they all get paid the same), get paid from the start, get experience employers want, not be a burden on your parents, do it yourself and have pride in that, serve your country, learn to be HUMBLE, and then decide what damn car to drive while going to school.

Ron, please understand (and I think you do) that college is an *investment* for the future. A car is just a depreciating expense (and most will agree that a Lexus is a luxary item vs a more economical vehicle). Aside from the education aspect of college, it will also be a huge growing opportunity for you to grow personally (living away from home, multitasking, new friends/network, partying! etc).

If you want real performance, get a RX7 and soup it up, you will save a lot of money ( I am a huge rotary fan)
