I notice if I turn off my car and open the door right away the door buzzer goes off and doesn't stop until I close my door. I have the Sport Package with Power tilt-and-telescopic steering column. I noticed if I wait for the steering wheel to retract at least half way the door buzzer doesn't go off. It's getting really annoying! To avoid it I have to turn off the car and wait about 5 to 10 seconds for the wheel to retract before I can open the door. SUCKS! At my first service I brought it up to Lexus and they said they couldn't figure it out.
Anyone else have this happen to them?

Don't have the power tilt... but I noticed the door buzz if I open the door before turning off the engine. Interesting because my wife's RX with power tilt does not do that. Once I turn off the engine and open the door - no door buzzing.

5 to 10 seconds for the steering wheel to retract?? Mine does it in much less time. By the time I put the car in park, turn off the ignition, and unbuckle the seat belt, I can open the door w/o the chime sounding.

I usually have my seatbelt off before I come to a stop. I'm a field engineer at San Jose Airport and I'm in and out of the car all the time and very quickly. If an airline calls with a problem then I have 10 min to respond. Usually I don't even have a seatbelt on. This buzzer thing is just something I noticed.
