How fast have you drove your IS
#61
Went on a drive with a friend (who has a BRZ) after getting my IS350, 120mph and still had room to go. it was a good rush but I don't like staying at those speeds. A bit of a wuss so i'll charge up there and then immediately back down.
I gotta say that BRZ is slick!

Track IS 350 on the bottle, full set track tires last run was 140ish. Bottle is more for quickness than top speed though. 162mph indicated on the bike last week, when it was stock 145 indicated im sure I can push it further but everytime ive tried its either too windy or I don't have enough space before I hit traffic. Honestly just waiting for the new ISF...we are done with tuning the 07 Lexus too much time not enough progress.

You cracked me up with this one! lol
This one time, a Lambo tried to race me. Worst mistake of his life.
I slammed on the gas but it wasn't enough. I flipped my nos switch and all of a sudden, wings came outta my car and I started flying.
/sarcasm
Seriously though, highest I've ever gone was 120. Felt so slow after coming back down to 90 lol!

I decided to "nail it" when getting on I-540 in Raleigh and was really surprised (an uphill ramp) that I had hit 105 mph by the time I merged into traffic. I like doing short bursts when there is very little traffic but not really a fan of trying to run at high speeds. It's exhilarating for sure, but really not worth the risk. Going on 26 years with no moving violations is not worth throwing away for the sake of saying I ran my car at 100+ mph (and yes, I am knocking on wood while typing).

came back to NJ and I'm still thinking about those smooth NC roads.
my top was 120, but usually 100-110 is where I'll max out.

My personal best is 120. We have the straightest highway for about 6 miles, absolutely perfect for a speed run(Radar detector recommended). However, my car has done 142... Long story short, older brother drove it late one night while I was at college, radar detector went off, he slammed on brakes, did a 360 and scraped the back right quarter panel and back bumper on the center retaining wall. Somehow, SOMEHOW he didn't total my car and kill himself. Managed to land right in between a patch of trees when he was done spinning. Probably wasn't good my tires had virtually no tread on them either, but I'm just glad he didn't kill himself...
