So i asked why sooo much he said that they have to remove the head unit and do something so its integreted with the screen. Is this ture or is he leiing so he can get some money.

My dealer asked for $700 for the same install. I don't get it. Lexus said it is a less than $5oo option.

yea but the thing is that the Dealer said that they have to take apart the front unit to interraget the system with the XM. I bet you that there is a pug in the back so when you go to pug it in its just eaxy as PLUG AND PLAY.

The install is all in the trunk. You don't touch the radio untill you've completed the trunk install and then it's only to program your favorite channels.

Yup install is in the truck. Dont have to touch the head unit.

Dont listen to the dealer. They are there just to make an profit.

I'm going to order my XM kit soon and install it myself.

You can go to lexus-parts.com, and look at the install instructions there in adobe foremat . The way I understand it '07's already have the XM antenna in the sharkfin all you have to do is plug it in, the new kits don't even send an antenna

I actually wanted it when I bought my new IS about a month ago. I did not get it installed from the dealer. I hesitate to put after market stuff on my car, especially from the dealer.

Whats after market? The one from lexus-parts.com is the Lexus one. They are a Lexus dealership.
