Opinion needed on this clear bra job (pics incl)
HI! New here but have been reading this forum for months and have picked up a lot of valuable info. My problem is that I had a 3M clear bra installed by UltraShield and I am not liking the way it looks. I have searched the forum and can't find any really detailed pics. I have called the installer concerning some edges that are sticking up and allowing dirt under the bra and they told me to bring it in to be trimmed. Do you think I should push to have the bumper completely redone? See pics

I really appreciate any help that y'all could give.

Sorry but that looks HORRIBLE!!!
PIC 1 - Are they overlapping each other?
PIC 2 - That's a huge gap.
PIC 3 - No straight cuts
PIC 4 - Bubbles are unacceptable!
PIC 5 - There should never be any over lapping edges and the holes don't match up.
Tell them to take it all off and give you your money back and go somewhere else!!!

I'm sorry to see this. I to am fairly new to the site and also are about to have clear bra installed. IMO after seeing several done that's the worst install i've ever seen.

Sorry but that was a bad install. Go back and have them redo the whole thing for free. Don't you have a warranty on that. Here at Aero Tect(CA) Francisco will replace that in a flash.

It also looks like they just installed it over a dirty car. If you look at 3rd pic you can see a couple of bubbles with dirt under them. They really did a horrible job! I would really try and get your money back and go somewhere else!!!

wow.. i hate to see that.. i actually had similar problems when i got my clearbra installed at the dealership.. except it wasnt quite that bad.. i did have some issues around the headlights where the corners were lifting and creating a gap that would hold dirt.. since my car is white, it showed every flaw.. i ended up having the dealership reinstall the clear bra 3 times before they finally conceded to have a third party specialists shop do the install.. since then i have been completely satisfied.. i guess in my case i was lucky that i could deal directly with the dealership in order to get things resolved.. if i were you i think i would demand a refund and go find another place to do the work.. i wouldnt trust any shop that let an install like that leave their garage.. with that many flaws, it's obvious that these people don't take pride in their work.. good luck and let us know how it turns out..

All I can say is, wow. I just had a clear bra installed on my car ... how much did they charge you? Did it come with paperwork ... and a warranty? Did you watch them install it? I paid a lot for mine ... was present during the installation (last Thursday) ... and as of now, couldn't be happier!

This is the installer used by the dealership where I purchased the car I Figured that I would be safe using them.
Oh and for the person that asked how much, it was $477.00

It has the 3M warranty against yellowing but it doesn't say anything about the install. If they refuse to work with me then I will threaten to go to the better business bureau and the dealer that uses them. They are a certified installer of 3m clear bra, I just can't believe that this is what I ended up with.
