that'd be pretty cool. at least gives you a chance to run outside in case someone hits you and then takes a second to look at the damage.

haha...how funny would that be if someone scratched your car, then they got out to check out the damage, and turned around to see some guy charging at them with a flying Chuck Norris roundhouse with their name on it?

could be done--and would be nice... but unless lexus switches to a long distance transmitter/receiver, such as FM, it wont do you any good. Im not sure what the range is on the key; but i doubt it works past 100 yards unless there's no interference.

volvo S80 has that feature ($495) but would you get a volvo just because of that?

Personal Car Communicator (PCC), including keyless drive, two-way remote communication of vehicle's security status, and heartbeat sensor:

The Personal Car Communicator (PCC) is your car key's smart connection with your Volvo S80 applying the latest in two-way radio technology. When in range, you'll always know the status of your car. Locked or unlocked. Alarm activated or not. If the alarm has been activated, the heart beat sensor will also tell you if there is someone inside the car. The PCC also includes keyless entry and keyless drive.

That's unfortunate!

Hopefully, you can fix your car as easily and quickly as possible. Good luck!
