I called Lexus today for my 10k and they told me it was going cost $130. This would include oil change, tire rotation (I don't need), and 10 point inspection, oh and of course a car wash which I will not let them wash the car. Just for the oil change it would cost $50.
So I called Toyota, they do the 10 point inspection for free on every oil change. Oh and the oil change is only $28
. No car wash but I don't care about that anyway. Why would I pay an extra $100 for a crappy wash.
Talk about a saving some money.
Just like Infiniti and Nissan. Infiniti would charge $50 for oil change and free wash and Nissan would charge $25. They should call it a free car wash.

That's big savings right there.
Changing your car's oil is cheaper elsewhere, but wouldn't having the maintenance records in hand and in the Lexus database make up for it?
I think it'll be better for the resale value, and it just gives you a peace of mind.
Just my 2 cents.

Talking about saving money? Unrelated, but interesting nonetheless; the dealer tried to charge me $60 to plug a tire that had a nail in it!
Worse yet, I had called thursday, and the soonest they could get to my car was monday... (of course I did this for kicks, just to humor myself).
Took it to the gas station across the street where the mechanic squeezed me in, and had the job completed within 5 minutes for $7...saved both time and $$.

I'll keep the receipt from toyota for my records. I can spend < $100 for drinks, cookies, and 30 minutes of my time and still look at hot girls at toyota. I don't need a loaner either.

If you're going to take your vehicle to Toyota, don't forget to bring your own oil filter. They probably won't stock the corrct filter, and no the Camry/Avalon 3.5L engine is not the same as your IS350.

Also your Toyota dealership has access to your oil filter for half the price. Its the same thing, they order it.

Dealers only touch my cars for warranty work...I know what goes on in the back and right now I could shoot the dirty dogs that put Pennzoil in my Supra instead of the 6 quarts of Red Line I handed them to put in the car. Yes, this was at a (normally) respectable Toyota dealership. Bastiges all of them!
