There's many many many many threads about this topic.

Just type search for titles with "smoke" in the 2IS section.

I heard paint makes lights dull or matte looking so I opted for vinyl and I can't be happier with the results.

Well..... In my opinion, some of the Vinyl films will deteriate..... May eat into the Plastic Tail Lamps... making it very hard to remove.

My advice, Vinyl Films.... Very High Quality Vinyl Films. Don't settle for the cheap stuff... It may eat into the lamp and eventually destroy it ...as the film finish deteriorates through time.

That happens when the shop doesnt do a good clear coat job. It should look just a little cleaner than vinyls if done properly. Up close it looks a lot better, but from any distance away, not really an difference.

How long am i talking about durability?

Of course, Quality is the first issue.

Then weather conditions is next.

Maintenance of the actual film.

Several key factors.

In my opinion, if I am expecting to replace the film in any event if the film fades or dulls, I would like to know the life expectancy and the range of time for removal without damaging the lamp.

To me those are what concerns me the most...

Hi Jason, I'm happy to see you got your car!

I don't have any pictures of mine yet, but here's a thread with lots of pictures for your comparison.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=271356

I did some research before I did mine on paint vs. smoked vs. reds. Both T-Rex and a paint company told me paint comes out dull. Also, my car's a lease and the paint doesn't come off at lease turn in so that was my deciding 2 factors.

The vinyl's super thick so I don't think I will have any melting problems.

lol, I was just pointing out at how EVERYONE's getting smoke outs now.

But if you want smoke-outs, join the craze.

No one got tickets for smoke-outs here, I believe.

Smoke-outs are like Uggs now, it's a *****d out trend now, IMO .
