MP3 CD on the IS 250 without ML

typically the skipping is from your computer running out of RAM, or you are burning the disc at too fast of a speed for your pc. i bet your pc has 512mb of ram or less.
--try burning the disc at a slower speed (16x or 8x) just once and see if it comes out any better.
ALSO DON'T do anything else while burning your disc. (not even surf this site) watever resources you are using to do other stuff is being taken away from the burning process. once you use too much resources, the pc starts to use your hard drive for ram (temporary memory). your hard drive is MUCH slower than ram, and therefore you get a messed up cd.
the only other possibility is that your mp3's are too high quality for the car's radio to read. if your music is recorded at 320kbps bitrate, that might be your problem. most mp3 players max out at 256kbps bitrate for song play.
to check this right click properties on the file and see what it says for id2/3 tag. it should say the bitrate somewhere in there.

i have a stock sound system and it plays my mp3's on my cd just fine. i have it on a memorex cdr(1 time burn) and the songs vary in quality from 128k to 320k. i burn it using recordnow, one of the programs that came with my pc.
