They are covers and go over the existing pedals, the backs of the pedals, look just like the back of the existing rubber brake pad. You just take off the rubber brake pad and put on the new pedals. And the gas pedal fits right over the existing gas pedal.

Your new pedals look great just not my cup of tea. Not sure why you would change them unless you had neon down there or something.
