I dont think it will be totaled, but think it will be well over $20,000 to fix. It will be in the body shop for a while. Let us know what the verdict is. Glad you are OK. The car is a sweet ride !

As mentioned earlier -- two words -- Diminished Value. If they *don't* total her, you want the insurance company to kick in for the diminished value of the vehicle (which in this case may be significant). Glad you weren't hurt... stuff can be replaced, people can't

Why would anyone sue for diminished value on a lease?? If anyone decides to sue for diminished value, it should be Lexus Financial.

Anyway, that accident looks like more than 20 mph. I think the guy might have told you he was only going that fast, but he caused some pretty significant damage. Did you get a police report? Please tell me you did!!

Cat, as we talked last night, I want to say again that it is a blessing that neither you nor anyone else in the car was hurt seriously. Have whomever was in your car get checked out immediately, neck injury, whiplash is nothing to play with and can take a few days to show up. Once again, sorry to see your car in this state. I know just how bad you are feeling right now, but it is more important that you are still here and not gone from us forever.

Wow, sorry Cat! I'm glad that you're OK. You do have some pretty major structural damage, there, but I don't thing it will total. Looks like around 8k in damage. Looks like about 20mph. 40mph would have been complete and total devistation.

Sorry about the car. But most importantly, you are safe and sound.

wow that sucks...looks to be alot of damage...it might be totaled.

new 1/4 panel, rear pan, trunk lid, probably some frame damage and roof is probably out of alignment.

I'd try to get that baby totaled...its gonna be in the shop for at least a month to fix that.
