I had to get a new Nav system DVD because the one in my car started getting confused about where it was some of the time. I have heard the same from other IS350 owners. Now that the new "improved" DVD is in the car, the previous workaround to disable the Nav system no longer works. (Menu, Volume, touch left top, left bottom, etc) Has anyone figured out to disable the latest version?

My guess if this is true, this might depend on the manufacturing date... any accurate info on which Nav versions or manufacturing dates accommodate the "modified" Nav?

It's the version of the Nav disc, not the nav unit that changed. Version 5.1 had the workaround, the new 6.1 has no override. There's a way to merge them if you have both discs, do a search.

Thanks for the info. I'll call the dealership and see if I can get my hands on a 5.1 disk. The override was great to have when someone else was in the car and could search while I drove.
