I can't believe there is still argument after some people have mentioned that the pressure distribution is what causes it....

No matter what you do, when you're going at ~40mph+, the pressure made by the stream of air moving around the vehicle will create pressure variance and when you open one window, you will notice it! Mainly because by opening 1 window, you're letting the air flow in-and-out. Imagine if you were holding a peice of silk towel from B-Pillar and opened the window....the towel will move back-and-forth, which is a visualization of air pressure change. That vibration is what's causing your ear drums to move and therefore, you'll feel PAIN!!

Hell try with all windows up and sunroof open. I get a headache from it, but a wind deflector helps considerably.

I thought I was going bust my tympanic membrane when when my child rolled down the back window at about 40 mph. I now use the window lock when they are in the car.

I have owned several American and Japanese 4 door cars, and been in dozens of others, and have never felt as much ear pain as I do in the Lexus{with one rear window down}. Here is my theory: the Lexus is sealed so well, that with only one window down, there is no depressurization. I'm sure all the other cars I have been in did not have as good of a seal, so air was able to get in somewhere else to depressurize the cabin, thus less ear pain.

Default Vibration (Pulse) from open moonroof

I roll up all the windows and open the moonroof. At about 40 mph, the cabin pulses (like a helicopter). But once I get speed (about 55 mph), the pulsing goes away. I've never experienced this on my Civic, M3, or Evo so I'm thinking it's a design flaw that may require a wind deflector. Is there as TSB (TSIB) out for this?

I've experienced this in at least 10 different kinds of cars. This isn't a design flaw and there will never be a TSB for it!

I've driven pretty much every Lexus sedan and every Lexus has this issue
EXCEPT
The 1-3ES with the frameless windows.

Yeah, my Toyota 4Runner doesn't do that, or at least it isn't as noticeable. I think you're right, Lexus does such a great job at eliminating exterior noise from the cabin, everything gets stuck inside too. Because even with everything rolled up, my 4Runner is loud as hell. This lexus is the only one that I've actually felt physical pain, haha. I mean it's not like I'm gonna cry or anything, but it's pretty annoying. I'm just glad to know it's not only me or just my beautiful car. Thanks everyone!!
