Default Flaw with the IS aerodynamics???

Hey all,

I have an 07IS250 and recently noticed something very strange with my car and wonder if anyone else has noticed this. When I'm on the freeway, and all of my windows are rolled up, if I roll either rear window all the way down, but only one of them, I get this really loud wind pulsing sound. I'm guessing it might have to do with the aerodynamics of the vehicle? Anyone have same issue or might be able to point me to an existing thread?

Thanks~

try it with alot of 4 door sedans I think you will find the same result. I had a 328i and it is the same with my IS. Not strange at all just not meant for it to be open at high speeds I guess.

it has nothing to do with aerodynamics nor does it have anything to do with lexus. it has to do with the pressure in the car when you only open one window. so if your going to do that, just crack another one open to relieve the pressure.

yea definately, in most cars, if you leave only one window open.......there is a certain speed that is specific to each car that makes that pulsating rapid pressure change that seems to move your brain around. its only normal. just put another window down to equalize the pressure.. thats all. but every car I have ever been in does that. no worries

the only flaws that the 2IS has in the states are missing all 5 (and 2 not listed) pieces of the following under-car aero-dynamic pannels:

As mentioned before... this happens on almost every car on the road today. The pulsating noise sounds like a helicopter is above your car.

Could you put more detail of the pieces that are not list? And more detail of the list pieces? I have "b pillar noise" in my car. The noise is very annoying

Why did they remove these pieces over here in the states?

I bet you if they designed the car base on eliminating wind noise when you open the rear window, the car going to look butt ugly.
