Pros and Cons for 0w-x0 oil.

20 weight oil performs better for me. Synthetic 20 weight oil is even better.
I just got an oil analysis report for my >120K Acura V6. This time I ran Amsoil 5w-20 XLM for ~7200miles. Oil sheared a little from 8.5 cSt to 8 cSt. Wear metals such as copper and iron are about the level for Mobil 1 0w-20 SL for ~9200 miles. M1 0w-20's viscosity did not shear.
I have posted in RX's forum that the only Mobil oil I like is SL rated 0w-20 (not Mobil's current formulation). Amsoil is great but its XL line of oil used the cheaper group III base oil, even with a great additive package, the performance still not up on bar as a good true synthetic oil.
