Default Thinking about getting an IS350

Hi everybody great site with a lot of info.
I'm thinking about trading my supercharged 02 Honda S2000 and 02 Acura TL-S for a new IS350. From what I've read on the site is the only problem people are having is the break squeaking, which has a TSB, otherwise I haven't seen any other complaints. I went to the dealer last night and spoke with a sale man and test drove the car. From my short drive I was impressed, the power is good and the handling was good, but i didn't get the chance to push the too hard.
Do you guys think that the IS is worth trading in 2 cars?

I would say trade the TL and keep the S. In case you want to have some fun in the twisted road.

Why not sell them yourself and get more money out of the deal. Your more then likely going to have to order the IS anyways. That gives you 3 months to sell the other cars.

Have you driven the BMW 335i yet? At your elevation, the Lexus is losing 15%+ of its power due to the thin air. WIth the BMW, you are losing very little due to the turbos adding additional boost. A big consideration for someone that lives in Colorado. Also, coming from an S2000, it sounds like you might want something a little bit better handling than the Lexus. 335i sounds like a better fit for you

I'd say go for it. The Lexus is definitely better than the Acura and it is luxurious to boot. You have the motorcycle for when you really want to have fun.

Despite what some say herein if you bed the brakes correctly they won't squeak. Usually they become glazed because they are used hard before they are bedded. This has been known for the past 100 years at least.

Buy the car if your into luxury and a nice ride with much power. If your a 'drivers' driver than perhaps a BMW would be a better choice. Different cars even if many consider them to be in the same class.

Either model has pros and cons....

^ agree with pros and cons!

test drive both and come up with your conclusion. If you ask the same question in the BMW forum, people with say "hell, go with BMW all the way".

Drive both cars and see which one fits you better...

I am enjoying every single second of my 6MT!

I traded in my 05' S2000 and privately sold my wife's 06 civic for an IS350. I don't regret it one bit. I love the car and honestly don't miss the S2000 like I thought I would.
