Lightbulb Some 06 IS250's and 350's are plug and play

I purchased illuminated door sills the other day. I took off the original door sill to plan out what cables I will need to tap into when I found the white plug that is for the door sills . I guess it is not true that only the 07's are plug and play. My vehicle was manufactured 05/06.

Some of the 06's do have the plug, the question is if the plug actually works. A lot of individuals who have the plug and bought the illuminated sills couldn't get the light to work by just plugging it in. Most had to wire it into the footwell lights.

I have a base model IS350. I put a test light on it and when I simulated closing the door the power turned off to the plug.

From what I read in the other scuff plate thread, most people said they tried the plates with the dome light off and on. It seemed as if the plug itself wasn't even wired in.

When the illuminated plates come in later next week I will confirm. As stated before, I put a test light on the plug and when the door closed the power to the plug cut off.

Yeah, i'm not 100% sure either. I'd really like to get the plates but i'm gonna have to check the connectivety of the wiring first.
