Eyeballing an '06 IS350... a few questions for the more experienced owners
#17
I hate the Cashmere interior. I have it on my LS460 and it has absorbed some of the blue dye from my jeans and it looks discolored and it's very hard to remove. I will never get this color interior again.

So does the '06 Black Onyx Pearl actually have a pearl topcoat or is it still a straigh black finish?
And for clarification... VSC = stability control and VDIM = traction control? VDIM is defeated in '06 with the pedal dance, or switched off in '07s. Any other secrets to disabling the nannies, such as pulling a fuse or removing TPS?

VDIM is always on.
VSC is what you toggle off the with the pedal dance.. Because if you can toggle off VDIM with the pedal dance I am jealous. I believe VDIM as another poster said deals with throttle response and I also think, although clarification might be needed that it also applies brake pressue to assist on getting you back on track.
If you don't want to do the pedal dance in the 06 you'll have to buy an ECU/Harness thing from Lexus that'll run you about 1400. It will allows you toggle off VSC like 2007 models.

Thanks for the info... I'll have to do a little more research on the topic. I suppose it's next to impossible to do away with all the electronic nannies; it would be nice to have 100% full control, even if wheelspin is a byproduct.

Honestly, that is more of your jeans' fault than your interior. Your leather doesn't magically absorb more dye than other colors, it just shows because it is a light color.
