i would assume that since HONDA, TOYOTA, MERCEDES, BMW do it that lexus would as well. Around here car dealers are competing big time for business. They will do anything for you. My aunts honda dealer gives her a loaner for an oil change! That takes all of 45 minutes for crying out loud. I have a tire on my car that should not be driven on and all i ask is a loaner to get Home and back tomorrow? Big deal. I guess i should have stuck with toyota or went with honda for the service...but they dont make a car that looks anything like the IS.

ok this is a bit off topic but...which dealership did u go to? I'm from NJ and every time i need a tire it was either in stock or was there within one to two days. Mind you i've already had 3 tire bubbles - 2 of which were replaced free of charge (it's taken on a case by case basis so the third time they said i actually had to pay. I'm covered by a tire/rim insurance policy we purchased - forget for how long but that's another story). Sorry for going off track..

I don't see why they couldn't order it from the Tire Rack and have it sent Fed Ex.

While I might be sympathetic that the time frame they told you to get the tire was much longer than they told you, and that might justify a loaner, why is it really any different than if you crashed your car, and their body shop was repairing it? Either its a warranteed repair, or its not.

for crying out loud i have 8 tires in my garage right now. 4 are mostly used and 4 are slightly used. would you like one? lol perhaps i can send it to you and you'd have it is just a few short days, would you like to buy it from me? lol

just so you know, there reason i have 8 is350 tires is because i both them for cheap (with rims) and i have two extra tires in case of flats and to eventually use when my oem tires wear out. all 8 tires are oem and actually i have 12 total (4 winter aftermarket tires). i try not to depend on anyone for nothing.

A good lesson to tell you look for better service somewhere else.
There are always good tire stores that can get just about any tire on the same day or maybe in next 24 hrs.

Dealer is a good place for buying new cars only.

I believe somewhere in this thread he mentioned that the tire was on backorder from the manufacturer, in which case, cannot be had in 24 hours.

If you are looking for Bridgestone RE50A's you will be waiting a long time. They have been discontinued.

IMO, you are lucky to get a loaner. Its not a manufacturers defect. A flat tire is caused by you or your environment.. not the dealer.

I dont see why they are obliged to give you a loaner... just because you want your tire replaced there.

It really sounds like they are going way out of their way to make you satisfied. Cut them some slack.
