I took a pair of pvc shears and just hacked mine off. I left the pedal in the car and just started cutting. You'll still have to pull the pin out,it's kind of conical, mine removed pushing it to the right. Search and you'll find two ways of doing the install that aren't as crude as mine. One of them involves taking the whole pedal assembly out. It's tight quarters any way you do it. Oh yeah, the pin is in there TIGHT!

This is how I installed the sports pedals (including the dead pedal). Note the pictures and one of the pictures actually shows the tool that I used.

Hope it helps.

The install was very easy with the right tools. Do not try to remove the accelerator pedal on the car! You might bend or break the assembly. I am offerring a service on this. $60.00 and I will install the set while you wait. The tools needed for this DIY will cost as much as my service. I am in S.F. bayarea. PM me if you are interested in my service.

The pedals are VERY nice in person. It completes the look. Worth the $$$$!!!

can someone tell me how "slippery" the pedals are when it's wet? that's more of the concern than the $$$ issue......

I washed my car and drove it around the block. The rubber pads work fine.
