Default Upgrading oem hid bulb to 6k bulb, void warranty on headlight?

I was wondering if anyone knew if upgrading the oem 4300k bulb to 6000k or any other bulb will void the warranty on the headlight? Thanks!

i believe as long as the original bulb can be put back in without any problem it shouldn't void the warranty

Thats right if you have any problems, just slap the original bulb back in there and take it to the dealer and ask them, dood! Whats going on here???? lol

So you can just change out the HID bulbs and get brighter ones? I dont know much about HIDs but I thought you might have to get a new power box thing and some other stuff. I didnt know you could just get a higher temp bulb!

Oh nice, so just get some white H11 6000K bulbs and like that ive got cooler lights huh? So if you upgrade to the 6000Ks does it look like a BMW's lights? Also anyone got a link to a good thread where it has been beaten to death?

The reason I'm asking is because on my lady's car I think her headlight adjuster is broken. We never tempt with the adjuster, just replace the bulb to 6k. But i was thinking of bringing the car back in to get it check, but was wondering if I should swap out the 6k and replace it with the oem one first.

BMW uses 4300k i think. The reason it does that flicker thing you talked about in a different thread is due to their projector.

you only need a conversion kit, if you did not get oem HIDs..
If you already have OEM HIDs, you can just switch out the bulb.

Just put things back to OEM if something should ever happen. Dealer wont know you took the bulb out. And even then, they would have to prove that the 6000k bulb did the damage.

you might wanna keep the 4300 K bulb in the car when you take it to the dealership because if they found that you touched the headlight in any way they might say that u broke it and say that the warranty is voided. so just wait to change out the bulb until after you take the car to the dealership.

Oh ok thats cool i didnt know that. if i hadnt known that, i might've went and bought the conversion kit lol. but yea thats cool. But one thing that i hate is that everything under the hood is so tight. I opened the hood the other day to change out the small refractor bulb i bought from ebay but when i took a look at everything i just closed the hood back up cuz of that.

Since we're on the bulb subject, does anyone know how to change 4 front turn signals?
