Newb when it comes to lighting... If you have the OEM HIDs you can just replace the bulbs and get the same results?

yes - you could just replace the bulbs if you have oem hids.

Hey you have HID for the Fogs right. IS it easy as plug and play???? NA aslo did you get the fogs from Xneondepot????

Not really you have to mount the power boxes somewhere....

yep got the fogs thru XD. it is plug and play, however, its recommended that you use the supplied wiring harness to draw power directly from the battery. at first when i installed the kit, i didnt use the wiring harness and thought i could get away with it. turns out, the fogs didnt light up...so i tried it with the harness, and it worked.

The bulb is D4S. Currently, you can get the bulb from www.xenonvalot.com for $250 USD and http://www.ijdmtoy.com/webpage/products/d4.htm for only $99 USD. The latter one is claimed to be made in Japan. A few IS members have installed these with great results. However, I'm not sure of their long term reliability.

I have OEM Hids and I'm looking to switch the bulb to a 6000-6500K one when it's available at my local tuner shop. I modified my foglights to XenonDepot's Extreme 6500K kit. The light output is awesome at night.
