hello everyone, i just got my Is 350 and i wanted to tint my windows but i'm getting different feed back from my friends. i was wondering how dark should i tint my windows, i'm thinking of 10% all around but im afraid that might be to dark for me to see the rear window and the sides cause im a pretty careless and clumsy driver.

35% in the fronts and 20% for the rears and back window. if you want to stay the same then 20% all around and i wouldnt go darker for you. will look very clean and you will get used to the difference.

That's funny that you mention this...I just got the tint done on my IS 350 two days ago! Please do yourself a favor and do not get tint darker than 20%. In my opinion 20% is too dark. I went 35% all around...my 350 is black on black so at 35% it looks very classy, not too dark and not too light. Bottom line is, as long as you're driving a nice car like a Lexus, the cops usually don't pull you over unless you're speeding so if you're gonna to get caught with tint you might as well get what you want! Just be prepared to remove it all and start over once you pay the fix it ticket.

I just dropped my baby off this morning to get tinted. I went with a ceramic tint at 35% all around. Hopefully it turns out well!

35% sides, 20% rear is perfect for me. Plus it's as dark as my state will allow. I recommend staying legal to avoid cops with nothing better to do.

If you are really such a crappy driver don't get tints at all until you get comfortable with the car. Putting tint on cuts down on your visibility, and in your case that looks like a recipe for disaster.

IMO if you have bright interior you should get 20% all around but if you have black then 35% should be best. I have 18% on w/ ivory interior and is just perfect.

I had 35% all around on my last car and to be honest I hated it. Don't get me wrong, I loved the way it looked, but there were times when it was just too dark because of insufficient street lighting (made parallel parking suck) When I pick up my IS on the 26th I'm going to go with 50% all around

Got my tint done on my car last friday. I went with 35% (medium) all around. It looks nice.
Installer had to removed the front door panels so that the tint can be properly installed on the front windows... now, one of the window buttons lost the one-touch automatic open/close feature I can still open/close the driver side window but the light on the button keeps flashing indicating that there is a malfunction.

ceramic 5% here all around. I wanted 10-15% but in ceramic they only had 25% and then 5%. So i went with the gangsta

5% is the only way i ride. i picked my car up at 10:30 last saturday and the first 3 miles was going to the tint shop. dont like to be able to see in my car's

35% front and 25% / 30% rear (non metallic comes in even # and metallic odd #). Makes sure u put non-metallic tint to your rear window. Why? Radio reception interference.
