If everyone stopped modding their cars because their mod isn't functional...then this would be a pretty boring forum.
just to name a few...
painted calipers
most rims
grill inserts
CF dash trim, CF pillars
Illuminated door sils
sport pedals
exhaust tips
body kits, spoilers (no difference in downforce at our speeds)
LED upgrades

It looks so different from the OEM that people in the know are going to figure it is just a cosmetic add on….without function….and a bit lame. I do not even consider this a mod. Painted calipers and such, accent a functional part of the vehicle….and that is cool. If you are determined to have the fin, go OEM, at least people will assume it came with the car and has a purpose. I really do not understand the appeal of a shark fin. If my IS was a 07 and came with one, so be it, but to add a non functional fin makes no sense to me. Why are so many determined to make there car look German? Kind of looks like a small pigeon is perching on the roof, ready to take a big crap on your back windshield. Sorry, just do not understand all this.

I bought an OEM antennae, took out the gutts of it, and mounted the shell of the fin on my car...its not functional, but its the style that I like. I'm a big fan of the fin....I tell people that it makes the car go a lot faster...it just cuts through the wind!!!!
