Knock in engine?
So, I've noticed that the engine doesn't sound very smooth when standing outside. I'm sure most of you have ready my thread about the loud fan... which seems to be how this car is designed. But, what about the engine itself? I'm not a tech so maybe I'm using the wrong terminology but it sounds like it is knocking?? It doesn't sound like it is smooth as silk like I'd expect a luxury vehicle's engine to be. you can really hear it when you go though a drive through and the sound of the engine bounces against the wall back through the open window. (it sounds fine from inside the cabin with the window closed, though)
Is this too just the way the car is designed?

Could be it.... like I said - I'm no tech so I'm probably using the wrong terminology. I'll try to take a video with sound of it and see if you can hear it.

I believe you are talking about the sound of the injectors. I originally had this concern too, until me and my dad stopped by his mechanic to talk to him about some business. When he saw the car we pulled up in he immediately popped the hood and was amazed be the sound of the injectors. that knocking noise is the sound of the injectors.
