Default Stalling in the morning - TWICE!

Has anyone's IS stall right after ignition? It happened to me TWICE, different mornings, about 63 degrees F.

It was weird cuz, I was ready to go so i hit the push button, heard the ignition, then the gauges do their normal spin, then i was like im ready to go, then put the car in reverse, and it didn't move, then i saw the engine was stalled.

This morning it did the same thing.

hmm..

Was your start button light green when you hit it? I usually wait a couple of seconds after applying the brake before I hit the start button.

Get it checked. It may become a safety issue...

....or you could have just gotten a bad tank of gas.

Unless it keeps doing it (so they can replicate it at the dealership) see if a new tank of gas helps.

I agree, this could also be the issue. It has happened to me before in another car.

I wouldn't panic. Are you sure the engine actually started before you try to shift it out of park? If you are sure of that I'd dump a bottle of Heet, or other drying agent, in your tank to absorb any moisture. Fill up with a fresh batch of gas and see if that solves the problem.

The starter tends to cycle 3 to 4 times before ignition during cold start ups, but other than that i have never experienced a stall.

This happen to me before...

Well similar if it may be the case...

When i started the car, I was too fast to switch it into reverse and the car stalled.

But after I waited a second or so to switch it into reverse, the car had no problems.

Try slowing down for 1-2 seconds.. and see if the problem persist.

Just press and HOLD the start button for more than just a split of a second, it'll start.
