Default Icons on Nav

I know there is a hack out there to put the 2006 firmware on a 2007 Nav DVD so you have the override with the updated maps. Could this same technique be used to use some custom icons? For example, for the icon of my home I could actually put a small picture of my house? Are the icons listed in individual files on the DVD?

Not that I have read anywhere in here. Not one has really been able to hack any of the software because its so proprietary.

So, it looks like this won't be possible. I just took my Nav DVD out and looked at the folder structure. There isn't a folder that has all the icons in individual files.

I was hoping this could be done bc in my last car, the Nav DVD had an individual file for each icon. So, all I had to do was replace the original icon with a new one (can name it the same as the original) and I was good to go.

Oh well...

Yea this system is really lame. Toyota locked down way too much with it. I wish they would take a lesson from Honda. Best nav system out there IMO.
