fllor mats
hello, i was wondering if anyone have any ideas as to what i could use as floor mat that will hell protect the original carpet, i don't like the OEM all weather floor mat cause i like rubber floor mat more preferably carpeted material like, want something that could absorb a lot water if wet, but could absorb a lot while not wetting the carpeted lexus floor that comes with the car. thanks

Before I got the rubber mat....I got the generic clear plastic auto mats from wal-mart for $8. NOT custom made (of course)..
I did some trimming to fit them better (all 4)....it does the job keeping dirt/rain/etc to the carpet mats.....
The only drawback of that was the plastic seemed to curl up when it's hot.....
That's why I eventually got the rubber set instead......

The dealer has those for around $75. I got mine lumped into my deal, but I don't use them. I use black rubber mats from Wal-Mart that have a lip around the outside edge to keep water from running off the mat. The dealer's clear mats look nice, but don't keep water from running off onto your carpet.

Similar product to that discussed are ExactMats. www.exactmats.com I've got them in all my cars, they are cut exactly to the size of the floor mats and are a good, clean way to protect your mats. About $65-75, you can give them a call and they will send them right out. My Lexus dealer threw them in as a freebie when I bought the car.
