Not hard and I think the only place you can get it is at the dealer, unless you find someone that wants to trade, but thats very hard too

Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty new at this so its nice to get ideas.

Yeah I know the trim comes off pretty easy. I just want to see what my car would like with aluminum trim.

Anyone have any pics of the aluminum, and how to take apart the trim?

Thanks again.

Won't be cheap or easy. I'm not even sure Lexus sells these parts individually as a general rule, and I'm sure they would cost an arm and a leg. Here are a few pics of the stock painted metallic trim:

These have now been covered with the Black Carbon Fiber Kit from Carson Lexus. That would be far cheaper than the painted trim option. And it is more sporty looking, too.

How much did you pay for the black carbon fiber kit?

At the time it was a Group Buy at $370. Looks like current price is $425. It's a very high quality piece of kit, certainly up to Lexus OEM standards.

Nice!! I like the Carbon Fiber Trim!! Never have seen that b4 on a new IS.

Whats the price of that trim? Also, can I see some pics of your car from the outside. I pretty much have the same car and would like 2 get some ideas.

Thanks.

Sherwood Dash makes replacement kits for the IS 250/350, I believe you need to create an account with them to buy their products, not sure on pricing. It's a start.

Just tried the CF overlay discount code: CLGBCFKIT, and it still works. Hope this will be helpful on your decision!
