Default Odd Vibration

I've checked all the vibration and rattle threads, but I can't seem to find anything that describes the vibration I'm hearing.

I took it to the dealer, they heard it, thought they fixed it, and now it's back.

It is definitely coming from the rear of the car, almost sounds like it's from the trunk, and it's a vibration that happens when I go over bumps. Ever seen those little stoppers that your door hits instead of cracking into the wall? If you kick those they make a very fast vibrating noise. My car sounds like that only a bit slower. It's really tough to describe the sound.

I have nothing in the trunk, and nothing in the rear seats.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to fix it?

It's driving me insane.

This is the third rattle I've had so far and I'm very dissapointed in the build quality of this car.

Did you check the license plate holder/cover? Mine's a little loose (although I've never heard it rattle).

the tools and spare are the first thing any service department tie down when a customer complains of noise coming from the trunk.

but, to be sure, ask them if that is the case.

if it's like a springy type noise, maybe messed up shock/spring?

I know there is a tsb for oil leaks on ISx50 shocks

?

I said they thought they fixed it. Rather than them thinking they fixed it again, I was hoping to either do it myself or provide them with more information from someone else who had the same issue.

I checked everything in the trunk and all parts are secure. The only thing left to test is the license plate, but it's unlikely I think. It sounds like it's coming from inside the car in the trunk.

Figures I'd be the only one to have this problem. It's a solid dealership too, they fixed all my other rattling issues and did a pretty good job.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I remember my toyota dealer couldn't figure out the booming echo noise coming from the same are of my 2004 Toyota Solara V6.

I took it to them like 100 million times and they were getting pissed off at me and the car.

At first they were saying they don't hear it.

Then came the TSB (after I sold it) and proved them wrong :P

Hey Belmont,
were you ever able to figure out what the noise is coming from? i have the same issue. It seems to happen more when the weather is colder though.
