Non-nav and Nav dash same size?

I've seen the threads on here about people who have done this swap but no further information is given.
I'm wondering where I can buy a nav unit, how hard the install might be and what features of the unit I can be sure would work.

I've seen a few online going for about $1500... there's one on eBay right now. I'm just waiting to see if anyone who has done this had any insight for us... not really interested in buying the unit, ripping me car apart and finding that I have no clue how to install it.

i hear ya, i guess i was lucky. then i would find an aftermarket system. you loose some features but i just would think the cost for the factory wouldnt be worth it when its all done. i have done the aftermarket system in an NSX and also becuase the factory system was terrible. i put the factory stuff back and sold all my stuff on ebay for close to what i paid for it. Good luck and post pics of what you do!

A few single DIN kits have been posted here but if you can get the factory system and install it yourself for $1500 you're much better off than buying a $400 dash kit and spending another lump of money on equipment, harnesses and installation.

I'm doing an Alpine OEM integration unit (VPA-B222) with their bluetooth touchscreen, same spot as Oliveryo has his mounted.
Cost is about $1100 or so installed - thats iPod, XM, and bluetooth, I'm not a big Nav fan but you can get the Alpine Nav DVD unit added to that and DVD video as well.
