Default First Mod. W00t!

First Mod!

I guess intake constitues a mod.. yeah? Exhaust next. I really like the JoeZ, really can't tell a difference in sound but the car feels alot more responsive. I wonder if its the placebo effect. Hehe, also left my first S shaped burn out mark after we put it in. People didn't believe the Lex could bark tires with just smashing gas! Not that the intake had anything to do with it. Oh well. Here are some pics. Man our engines are ugly without the covers. lol

And here's the stock beast. lol

Good luck out there tomorrow and congrats on the 1st mod. Does the 350z have any mods done? Make sure you have 1/4 tank of gas or less, pump up those front tires to 45+psi, rear tires to 28psi and pull that spare. You should be able to beat the 350z fairly easy as long as he isn't spraying or boosted.

BTW...See if you can get a video!

My friends say they will bring a video.

For giggles I'm going to line up with my friend's SS, and a friends RX-7 that puts down over the 450hp mark. Hahah those cars will make the IS look like its sitting still!

Actually the JoeZ pipe is good for 3-5hp. I've dyno'd it and all the quickest IS350's utilize the JoeZ pipe. Coincidence? Also check out this thread for the heat related questions with the aluminum intakes.

I love when people say they can feel 4hp on a 300hp car.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
How is that metal intake pipe any better? Metal retains heat more than plastic or rubber. Looks like you kept the stock airbox too. What you did actually decrease performance.
