Are they tacking on HID's now because out of 30 IS models, all of them, didnt matter if they were stripped down or not, had the HID option on them already. I like this idea. Lexus should put them on all IS models since the last IS300 had them standard.

all new ISx50 have the same headlight and The only way look to know if it come with hid is look on the car sticker.

Every 2007 ISX50 has HID now, it is still an $800 option but Lexus already includes it on every IS that comes to America. I am certain they will become standard for 2008.

i do not know why people keep on saying that EVERY ISX50 2007 comes equipped with HIDs because my sure did not. And I am not the only one.

if you special order it then it might not have it, but if you just go to a Lexus dealership and buy one - most likely it has HID. You are the first on this forum with a 2007 I came across that doesn't have HID. Have you checked your window sticker to make sure it is a 2007 and it doesn't list HID as an option?

im sure its a 2007 and it doesn't list HID as an option. I was told that my car was a special order for a friend of the owner of lexus of El Paso, but the friend decided to get something else. We asked if HIDs could be installed, but told us no. But when talking to the Business Manager he said that we could get me some and that it would not void the warranty. Im going to be doing this later.

I see, so it was a special order for someone else, that makes sense. The thing is you should ask the Business Manager what brand and temperature are the HIDs he's going to get. Hopefully, he would not get some cheap HID kits overseas and then overcharge you for it. I have aftermarket HID on my IS but I'm not really worried on the warranty since I know in order for them to void it, they have to prove the problem was caused by the HID.

that is true. according to the manager he gets the HID kits from the same company that lexus gets its from. If i do go through him I would get it in writing.

I bought my car at Hoffman Lexus in Hartford, CT about 3 weeks ago. I asked them about this because I didn't want to pay this extra money for the car. Every non-navi/non-ml 250 AWD on the lot has the following:

HID
Wood Grain Trim
Trunk mat/cargo net/floor mats

That is how the dealer orders them...apparently this is also the case at McDermott Lexus in New Haven, CT. Unless I wanted to wait 3-4 months for the car, I had no choice. Also, ordering would not have given me the deal that I got (1% over invoice).
