Yellow top battery question
Anyone uses Optima Yellow Top battery?
I am thinking about to get the yellow top battery cuz I need more juice for the sound system. Anyone equips with a larger size battery than the OE one? Any pic? Which model do you have?
Many thanks in advance,
Joseph

I've had the yellow top for several months, and I'm happy with it. I think it is the D51. I don't have an aftermarket stereo system, but I have accidedntally left my trunk / doors open over night before without any problem starting the next day.
Are you sure the yellow top is the right choice for "extra juice"? The yellow top probably has less juice than the red top, but it can deep cycle.

Thanks guys.
SVR's msrp is scary and not many reviews I can look up. I think it will have more problems when RMA is needed since not many dealers are around.
I have my connection with Yellow Top manufacturer so I have not much worry with warranty on it. My question is finding the max size of yellow top one... I guess I will cutome fit a few YTBs then. <--- that will be a lot of weight lift work.

I have used yellow, and red top batteries for the last 10 years, never had a single issue. currently im running 4000 watts in my tahoe with a single red top. My last tahoe i ran two yellow tops with 4 Zapco's pushing a conservative 6000 watts. 3x Z1100.1 and a single 1000.4 No issues with voltage, i got mine at costco and kept my reciept any issues i can take it back.
FYI, i left my lights on in the parking lot this winter when i went snowmobiling, came back a day later and it still was pushing 12.8 volts according to the voltage meter on the battery i installed.
Optimas are good stuff.......
I have a red top on my boat as well, its mounted sideways never had a issue.
SVR's are good too.
