Default MIR Drag strip meet 6/1/07 (3) IS350's

Well tomorrow evening should be fun. Myself, ThoLe and Waynetech2 are hitting MIR drag strip for some hot weather runs. I'm estimating the Density Altitude to be a power robbing 2050ft, but it will all be in fun and you can be sure I'll have my new video camera with me. I guess my goal with this kind of weather should be around 13.7-13.9.

Here is a link to my IS350 drag strip journal.

Good meeting you too Tho and congrats for finally getting in the 13's

Emil and Tony, post your times up here as well! Emil (waynetech2) had one run that was slightly quicker and faster than mine, but overall I think the average of my runs were quicker. I gotta get my rear cat delete project done before fall arrives.

My quickest run today with a DA of 1448ft was 13.632@101.27. Corrected (13.41@102.93) My fastest run was a 13.671@101.97. Corrected (13.45@103.63)

This warm humid weather really took a toll on the power, but now I have my numbers so that I can update the IS350 Drag Strip Journal. I have it located HERE for anyone interested. These runs were almost by the book with regards to gaining power as the temps drop. Temps started off at 88F and ended with temp at 77F. Each of my runs I consistently gained a little bit of mph.

I got 5 runs in this evening and as they said in the movie American Pie "consistent as gravity". Car was setup exactly as it has been the last few times I went. Tanabe Exhaust, JoeZ pipe, 33psi rear pressure, 47psi front pressures, BFG's, spare removed, 1/4 gas, ECT pwr, no brake torque

Default Video...

Here is a small video that I put together. We'll go back this fall when it's nice and cool and try again.

Nice times! Time for a JOEZ intake and HKS drop in filter. Next time maybe I should take out the spare tire and see what difference I get.

Every little bit helps. Remove the spare and 1/4 gas and thats quite a bit of weight saved.

I wouldn't worry too much about the HKS drop in filter. I'm sure I gained no power with it, but it looks cool and it's reusable. If you want to gain some power, get an exhaust and the JoeZ pipe.

I'm hoping it helps with me! Also, any of you guys use an octane booster?
