My 2006 IS350 is going to be 1 year old in a month, and will only have about 5,500 miles on it by that time. Are there any techs here that can tell me if it's genuinely necessary to have service done at that time (10k miles OR 1 year)?
I had the 6 month service done as scheduled, but it seems like a waste to get this one done with so few miles on the car. I've put about 1,500 miles on it since the last service.
Thanks for your input, and sorry in advance if this has been covered before.

Fair enough, but are you having the complete service done each time? For instance, are you having the cabin air filter replaced at the time interval rather than the mileage interval?
I have no problem paying for an oil change every 6 months, but I think some of the other items might be premature.
Thanks.

In your case I'd just be changing fluids per the time schedule. The other stuff, like checking fasteners and changing cabin filters, isn't dependent on time.
