21.4 is well within the normal range. You may get some improvement over time.

No actually if this is a big deal you should have bought a Corolla.

We have an 07 250 AWD and the average (since new) is currently pegged at 24.3 MPG. On the road we see tank averages of 29 and have gotten as high as 31. In town seems to average (tank average) about 22-23 with Lead Foot (my wife) driving. We run about 60% town (although much of it is at 45 to 50 MPH) and 40% open highway, where I've been known to have the red ring showing a bit!

Ive said this a million times here but at 7000 miles now (1.5 years) I sill dont break out of 17 mpg in my IS350. I finnaly hit a bit of a longer trip for me the other day, about 50 miles of freeway driving and I was excited to see that I actually broke 20 mpg for the first time ever!

Break in and warmer weather helps with the MPG.

I got 20-21 mpg in both of my g35's. I get 26-27 in my 350 for the same commute with worse traffic now (90% highway.)

I get 30 mpg doing a steady 70 mph. The only way a G could do that is if it was being pulled by a team of horses.

Wait till you break the car in. I have 20k miles now, just rolled over this weekend, and progressively my gas mileage has gotten great.

I ran my car to 370 miles and filled up 13.7 gallons. You do the math.

Also, refineries are blending summer gas right now, which also helps the MPG (though it costs a bit more).

My last tank average for a road trip on I-10 to Baton Rouge was 29.8 MPG with my climate control set at 79 (I'm cold natured). I have 2300 miles on my car.

I average about 26 MPG for Houston city, stop and go driving with my AC on. One thing that helps in pure stop and go traffic is setting the car in "snow" mode. You MPG will improve if you set it there in stop and go traffic.

After changing to Injen Cold Air Intake and HKS Hi Power Exhaust.. Average MPG went to 29.2 and average tank to 30.5 mpg . I still feel low mpg.. I think...may be I expecting too much or may be 250 AWD.

I get about 9L/100km in my is250 awd. Doesn't an AWD use more gas than the 350?

I get 21 with my rwd 250, the display says I'm getting 24(they all lie) but if I do the math it comes out to 21 and that is 100% light city driving, on my last trip to Las Vegas with 3 people, luggage and doing 95 the whole way I got 27, I was really happy with that, I suppose if i would have done the speed limit I could have gotten 30+.

Like JackBlack7 says, "ignore the current EPA ratings". And like Hartawan said, make sure, (make that Damn sure, there are not bodies in the trunk!) I've heard that only really good friends help friends carry bodies. That's sick!

Well, on another note similar, I get about 22 mpg IN TOWN in my 350 and it only has the 4th tank or 5th tank of gas in it.

But the foot is very LIGHT on the pedal.

i don't know why your even complaining.
i only get a max of 13.5 tank 12.5 avg mpg.
my tank lasts me around 200 miles and less....
i wish i could get 20 even 17 mpg, especially in nyc.
the gas prices are ridiculous.
