I say it would be easier to remove the wood pieces... &

Carefully Strip or Lightly Sand then Paint & Clear Coat.
Using a spray paint color close to OEM Silver.. of course...
(all under $20 bucks)

I'm sure it will look Great if you are handy in Customizing!!

I thought the IS-F just had the regular metallic trim... that's what I saw in a magazine anyway.

I actually wanted wood when I got my sports pack 250, but then I came here and saw how everyone seemed to prefer the metallic trim. I thought about it and it seems metallic does look better... not sure why it's the 'base' trim.

Regarding that CF thing I would never be caught dead with that on my car. Not only does it not look OEM at all (fit doesn't look all that great), but also when CF is used for aesthetic purposes that's just bordering on rice. The big slab of CF in the center console is an eyesore IMO.
