Default Are there any significant differences between the 06' and 07' IS cars?

I was just wondering if there were any changes incorporated into the 07' models. I have heard lots dissatisfaction about not being disable the "VDIM" on 06' models. Has anything like that changed? I haven't been hard enough on the car to find out myself.

Yes you can disable VDIM, press once and the TC turns off till 30mph, press and hold for 3 sec and you disable VDIM untill you turn off the car, when you start the car again you need press the button again.

I dont know about disabling the VDIM thou... I kinda dont trust the feel of the stock sport suspension, too me it feels like the dampening rates dont quite match a 'sport' suspension. Theres no LSD either with it off, the VDIM acts as the LSD afterall. Course I'm wanting to drift this car so thats where my opinions come from.

07's got the roof-mounted shark fin antenna. 06's don't.

I think the heated/ventilated seats are std on the AWD model, rather than part of the Lux Pkg.

On the 07 models, the ISP's are PnP but the 06 requires a little bit of wiring.

07 Changes:

Hold down the Trac Off button for X seconds to disable Traction Control until the car is turned off
Trunk and Gas Release buttons now bigger, placed side by side and lighted
Shark Fin antenna on roof, rumored (and I think confirmed) prewire for XM antenna
HIDs are available as a stand alone option
Sunroof may be deleted
X-Package (wheels, front spoiler, several other options) added as an option

Definitely know I'm missing something but that's most of it.

AzNLEX250 - what do you mean by ISPs?

Coaster, the only other changes that I know of are:

1) You cannot enter the nav hack sequence on the '07 model
2) You can plug'n'play the illuminated door sills on the '07 model.

The sunroof (moonroof) isn't deleted, the option to get an IS without it is no longer available in the 2007 model.

No. The X-Package without sunroof is still available for '07. It's just hard to find...

Also, the 2007+ have a sensor in the front passenger seat that can determine if the seat is occupied by a child or adult. If it is unoccupied or occupied by a child (less than apprx 80lbs) the airbags will not deploy. In 2006, the IS could only determine if the seat was occupied or not . . .
