I talked to 5 dealers when I was looking for my IS and they all told me that Black Sapphire w/ the black interior would have to be special ordered. My advice if you want to go BSP/black to call around before setting your heart on that color combo.

-This was in CA though, don't know about your part of the country

if i want the BSP/black, i would have to pay a trucking fee of $250 more because the dealer have to trade it w/ another one from another state.

I have Black Sapphire on Black...

I can say 2 things:
1) Black Sapphire looks almost like Black, not much difference under normal lighting
2) I have never gotten more compliments on the color of any car I have ever owned than I do on my Black Sapphire IS350:
"Wow, that's an awesome color"
"Wow, it looks black, but I can see it's blue! That's sweet!"
etc...

Black Sapphire is more unique.

Lots of people have black cars. Black Sapphire has a double personality...

i have an 07 is250 in black sapphire with tan interior. i love the color. it looks different depending on the time of day. moreso than the other colors. i love mine, and it is one of the colors that isn't seen so much. the gold and desert sage metallic are the other rare colors, but black sapphire is my personal favorite. it's unique but does not scream for attention.

i have black and just did a post that said just a few pics. my understanding is the blk sapphire paint is to show less scratches and markes then a black car? i think both look good and i have had both colors. blk/blk was the only one they had in the area and i didnt want to wait. good luck on your decision.

I have an 07 IS350 in Black Sapphire with Gray, I debated getting Obsidian but after seing how it looks after a couple of months I happily went with Black Sapphire, simply because it looks Black but in the sun it shines a beautiful Candy Blue!

2nd. I get these comments also with my BSP. I was planning on white or SGM, but when I saw the BSP with cashmire interior I fell in love. I bought it right off the showroom floor...literally :-) They had to move some other cars and open those big doors to get it outside for me. hahaha.
