OK I was just at the Lexus dealership today ready to pull the trigger on a 2007 IS250 RWD (with manual transmission). However, due to the fact that I wanted manual tranny, red color and the X2 sports package, he said there were literally no 2007 models left. And apparently Japan isn't making anymore with the manual transmissions in July, August & September either... so I pretty much had to order the 2008 model.

Apparently he said he's getting the 2008 IS around mid-September. The X2 sports package will mostly be the same, except will come with front heated seats and HID headlamps now. The price wasn't confirmed but he guessed it would be around $1000 CAD more for the package.

That's all he told me about the 2008 model. I'm not sure if there are going to be any other visual or interior tweaks.

Well this is in Canada, so I'm not sure if our options packages are the same as the US. But basically:

X1:
Aluminum sports pedals with rubber inserts
Illuminated scuff plates
Sport-tuned suspension
18" alloy wheels (5-spokes)

The X2 sports package has all of that, along with leather seats, 10-way power adjustable front seats, and power moonroof. (And now with HID headlamps and heated front seats for 2008 models).

This is a shot in the dark, but did he happen to say if nav might be available for Canada on the 2008 250 RWDs? It's not available on '07s.
