Default IS250 AWD owners with aftermarket wheels..help

I've done searchs and tried to wade through the 80+ pages of "post your aftermarket wheels" .. I've called around and one place tells me a set of wheels will work with the AWD while another shop tells me that won't.

What I want is something that looks good, fills up the wheel well, and doesn't rub at all. I'd consider adding in lowering springs to take care of some of the wheel well gab but I'm kind of hesitant to do that, thanks to the great state of Wisconsin (gag) come winter the stock wheels will be back on and I'll be plowing through snow.

AWD owners with ideas or pics, help would be appreciated

As long as it's not staggered setup and correct offset, there would be no problem putting it on your car.

Try to maintain the overall circumference so your speedo isn't off.

You can do a staggerd set up but the diameter of the tires have to be the same. so if you want to run 20"s do 235/35/20 in the front with 275/30/20 in the rear. there is a mininal difference in diameter which will cause no bearing on your center differential. or you can run a staggerd set up with slightly stretched tires in the back and run 245/35/20 all around. the goal is to keep the tire size the same all around you want to be with in a +-3.0% in difference.

my new 20"s come in today, after i put them on ill post them for you, i hope its a nice stet up Stern st-2 with 20x8.5 up front with 20x9.5 in the rear with 245/35/20 all around. the rear will be slightly stretched but is still under the manufactures limits. Falken 452's 245/35/20 can be put on a rin 8.0-9.5 inches.

If you run staggered.....I would highly suggest trying to stay with a consistent tire size. I'm running 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +30 with 225-35 and 235-35 and stagger the offsets. The rear has a slight stretch since I'm using Dunops which have a very wide tread face.

I would not run 275-30 in the rear when running 235-35 up front. I'd stay with a 265-30 to be safe, but even with that you run a slight risk of impacting the AWD. I've heard that even the difference in drag from the the wider tires and wider track in back can impact the AWD. This is why I opted for the 225/235 setup I have now.

I can't say for sure....but you have a greater chance with that setup. When you take your car in for service, definately change back to stock wheels. I'm not saying you will, but you run a greater risk....

Compared to stock...which is the most important, your fronts are 6.0% off, and your rears are 6.1% off even though they are close to each other in rolling diameter.

Wow thats pretty cool. Based on what it says at the bottom about the speedo being 6-9% slower .. when my speedo reads 60 my car is going 64 does that mean that the odometer will rack up miles faster than it would with a stock tire size that the speedo is calibrated for?

AKA putting more miles on my car that it's really travelled?

call/email d2autosport. They helped alot and my wheels MRR hr-1 are the same all around and would be fine on an AWD with drop. Not very aggressive compared to 20", but fine for me. One good thing about AWD and 250s for that matter are that we don't have to deal with clearing the Brembos.

d2 has good prices and shipping was good to the mid-west.
