i got my system installed last week. apparently it voids your warranty, but i have to bring my car in for 5k service tomorrow. will they say anything or what? my installer said that they dont really care until you sell the car or turn it back in, where you'd need to have everything removed. and they dont give you problems until you have some electrical problem--in which he said he would yank it out real quick before i brought the car in.

liar, liar, pants on fire.

unless the entire electrical system in the car goes to hell and the cause of it was your sound system, your system should not void any warranties.

there is a california law that states that specifically too. the moss-magnussen act, i think it was?...

unless the aftermarket modification directly caused a failure, they cant void anything

it immeditaly voids the lug nut warranty as well as the clamped on exhaust tip warranty......... my man, remeber when a person at a dealer opens his mouth out comes the lies.
I roll in thier with my lexus tinted, lowered with aftermarket HIDs and my system and they dont say anthing other then that is a nice car.
but like onihc says... i would be more worried about that.

my car is a lease, but we planned on buying it out at the end when i started modding it. and then the is-F info dropped and now im not sure? will it make a huge difference or not? i called my sales person and they distinctly said i can do anything as long as it increases the value of the car.

actually, an aftermarket stereo can void a large part of your warranty. Consider that the Stereo controls your HVAC, and is an important part of your navigation unit.

So I would guess.
Navi warranty can be voided
HVAC warranty can be voided
Stereo and all associated parts(amps etc) can be voided.

one time when i brought my Gs400 in for service, while waiting i heard a system. i always look around when a hear a system. No what car i was hearing....... mine. I didn't get mad since i turn the system up all the way ne ways. But if you are a panic about only going to a certain volume just unhook the wires to the subs.
